Product Attributes: Integrated Pest Management

Cameo apples, formerly known as carousel apples, were first discovered growing in Wenatchee, Washington in the 1980’s. They were a chance seedling, meaning they were not intentionally bred but came about by nature.

Cameo apples have red stripes which develop just before it is time to harvest. The cameo is known for its thin, delicate, crisp and juicy texture. The flavor is both sweet and tart with hints of honey and citrus.

Cameo apples can be used in both savory and sweet applications such as desserts or in salads and sandwiches.

We recommend storing your apples in the fridge in a plastic bag, they should keep for a few weeks!
